MY JOURNALISTIC JOURNEY
Before I even understood what it meant to be a journalist, I was already one at heart. As a little girl, I created my own talk show—the Faith Francois Show—where I eagerly interviewed my parents, cousins, and even my stuffed animals. That early spark of curiosity soon evolved into a deep passion for writing, whether I was crafting imaginative stories or factual articles that not only made me proud but also gave a voice to myself and those around me.
It wasn’t long before I discovered a world where my love for storytelling and my natural curiosity could coexist—journalism. From that moment on, I was hooked. This passion led me to Florida A&M University, where I was drawn to the incredible opportunities within the Broadcast Journalism program. At the School of Journalism & Graphic Communication, also known as “J-School” I learned the value of persistence, adaptability, and, most importantly, believing in myself.
To me, journalism is more than just a profession—it is a labor of love. Reporters often go unrecognized for the digging required to uncover the truth. Their work exists behind the scenes, yet it plays a vital role in giving society a voice. Despite the long hours, the pressure, and the unpredictability of the field, I see journalism as an honorable, commendable, and necessary craft.
The world of news is vast, ever-changing, and limitless. And as I continue my journey through this dynamic field, I remain committed to uncovering stories that matter, amplifying voices that deserve to be heard, and shaping the world—one story at a time.
